It’s easy to renew your 26-30 Railcard with Trainline. When you renew a Railcard with us, it’ll live on your phone in our app – accessible at the click of a button.
All you’ll need to get started is a valid form of ID, such as a UK driving license or passport. And if you don’t already have it, you’ll need to download our app. Don’t worry though – you can do that once you’ve started the renewal process. Please note that the minimum Operating System (OS) required to renew your 26-30 Railcard is iOS 13.4 and above or Lollipop on Android.

If you renew online with us, your 26-30 Railcard will become valid from the date of purchase onwards. As such, you can renew at any point before your current one expires, but it means there could be a period of overlap between your current Railcard and new Railcard. If you want to maximise value, make sure you renew as close to the date of expiry as possible.
Yes, absolutely. It doesn’t matter whether your old Railcard was purchased at a station or online – you can renew a 26-30 Railcard with us at any point after your old one expires, as long as you're still within the eligible age range for a 26-30 Railcard.
You can renew a 26-30 Railcard at any point up to the day before your 31st birthday. You can only renew for one year; three-year 26-30 Railcards are not currently available.
The savings don’t stop when you’re 31, though – you can always move on to a Two Together Railcard if you frequently travel with a partner, or a Network Railcard if you’re based in the South-East of England and frequently travel into London.
