It’s easy to renew your Network Railcard with Trainline. When you renew a Railcard with us, it’ll live on your phone in our app – accessible at the click of a button.
All you’ll need to get started is a valid form of ID, such as a UK driving license or passport. And if you don’t already have it, you’ll need to download our app. Don’t worry though – you can do that once you’ve started the renewal process. Please note that the minimum Operating System (OS) required to renew your Network Railcard is iOS 13.4 and above or Lollipop on Android.

If you renew online with us, your Network Railcard will become valid from the date of purchase onwards. As such, you can renew at any point before your current one expires, but it means there could be a period of overlap between your current Railcard and new Railcard. If you want to maximise value, make sure you renew as close to the date of expiry as possible.
Yes, absolutely. It doesn’t matter whether your old Railcard was purchased at a station or online – you can renew a Network Railcard with us at any point after your old one expires.

When you renew a Network Railcard with us, your Railcard will be digital and it’ll live on your phone, in our app. This means no more fishing around in your wallet for a paper copy, and no more forgetting it at home. Plus, you won’t have to go all the way to the station and fill out a form to renew your Network Railcard – you can do it from the palm of your hand.
We’ll ask you for a digital photo during the renewal process, so you can upload your favourite snap of yourself! Just make sure your entire face is visible in the photo, making it easy for the inspector to identify you.
Yes, if you do not wish to renew online, you can renew your Network Railcard at any staffed station ticket office in the UK.
