Good news! SNCF's low-cost high-speed OUIGO trains now operate on the route from Madrid to Barcelona, with stops in Tarragona and Zaragoza.

The double-decker Euroduplex OUIGO trains are used for the new service in Spain. As with the French OUIGO trains, the Spanish version only has one class of seating, with tighter spacing than on conventional TGV trains, to provide around 590 seats per train. However, unlike the trains used in France, the Spanish OUIGO trains have a bar car.

OUIGO Spain services will gradually be extended to other high-speed lines in Spain, including those from Madrid to Valencia and from Madrid to Alicante.

OUIGO Spain tickets are already available to buy from our website or app – ticket prices start from just €9. Simply use our Journey Planner at the top of the page and you'll get to compare Avlo, OUIGO and Renfe AVE tickets all in one place!
