What's BlaBlaCar Bus?

BlaBlaCar Bus is the new name for BlaBlaBus, previously known as Ouibus. The bus company, which belonged to SNCF, was acquired in 2019 by the BlaBlaCar carpooling platform.

With this new long-distance bus service, BlaBlaCar aims to expand its transport network. More than 400 destinations in ten European countries are accessible thanks to these low-cost buses. BlaBlaCar Bus connects in particular the main cities of France, such as Lyon, Montpellier, Dijon or Grenoble. They also serve many routes in Europe, including Germany and the Benelux.

Trainline is the official partner of BlaBlaCar Bus: you can compare BlaBlaCar Bus offers and buy your bus tickets directly on our app and on our website.

BlaBlaCar Bus onboard services

The BlaBlaCAr Bus network consists of modern buses, which are equipped with the same amenities as the ones previously offered when they were Ouibus buses. Keep reading for more information.

You can take two pieces of hand luggage and two pieces of checked baggage per passenger free of charge. Luggage placed in the hold must not exceed a maximum weight of 23kg and a cumulative size of 200cm (length + width + depth).

Please note that on some lines, the number of checked baggage is limited to one per person.

BlaBlaCar Bus have reduced the number of seats on their buses, so you can travel with even greater comfort with them. You can enjoy reclining seats, adjustable footrests, individual lighting and air conditioning for maximum comfort.

Disabled passengers

BlaBlaCar Bus buses are equipped to accommodate passengers in wheelchairs. When booking your trip, make sure you mention that you're travelling or accompanying a passenger in a wheelchair, so they can assist you.

As some journeys can take a few hours, breaks are planned so you can stretch your legs and do some shopping in the motorway service areas.

WiFi and power sockets

All BlaBlaCar Bus buses are equipped with power sockets and free, limited WiFi. If you live in the UK, remember to bring an adaptor so you can use their onboard power sockets.

Pets, with the exception of guide dogs, are unfortunately not allowed on board BlaBlaCar Bus.
