Train journeys from Glasgow Central to Bristol Temple Meads offer picturesque views ranging from Scotland’s Western Lowlands down to the South West of England. Stops include some of the main cities in Scotland and England, such as Edinburgh, York and Leeds.
The quickest travel options require you to change trains at least once. After a stop at Preston, the train will either travel via Manchester or via Warrington to Birmingham New Street, a central hub of the British railway system.
A direct train from Birmingham will then take you to Bristol. You'll cross Cheltenham, home to the renowned Cheltenham Festival, followed by Gloucester, a beautifully scenic journey with the Cotswolds as a backdrop.
