Edinburgh Waverley to Plymouth
Travelling direct between Edinburgh and Plymouth may not be a journey of choice, but this CrossCountry service is the main route for the rail network, calling at major stations such as Newcastle, Leeds and Sheffield in the North, and Cheltenham, Bristol Temple Meads and Exeter St Davids in the south. Bringing these stations together on one line makes travel for all kinds of passengers a lot easier. With a stop at Birmingham New Street too, there is chance for customers to use other trains on the network to move to stations such as Manchester Piccadilly, Southend Airport or Cardiff Central.
There are a number of things to do in Plymouth. The coastal town in Devon offers people a great way to escape to the country and relax, able to enjoy a slower pace of life and take in the views of the British coastline. The National Marine Aquarium is a great place to learn about sea creatures and wildlife, and is a great place to take the kids to experience something fun and educational at the same time. Plymouth Hoe has become a popular attraction for both locals and tourists alike. With spectacular views of the English Channel, with the iconic Smeaton’s Tower as a backdrop, this is a wonderful place to watch the ships sail by or grab a bite to eat on the sea front.
