Travelling in First Class with South Western Railway is a great way to kick back and cruise in style, with many of the trains arriving at or departing from London Waterloo featuring First Class carriages.
So, what do you get when you upgrade to First Class? South Western Railway offers slightly more comfortable seats and more places to work while onboard, including tables and pull-down tables. On trains from Axminster, Bournemouth and Portsmouth Harbour to London Waterloo (and vice versa) that arrive before 10:00 on Monday to Friday, First Class passengers will be treated to a complimentary hot drink and a biscuit from the trolley service.

Like most trains on the national network, you’re allowed to bring up to two large items like suitcases along with one smaller piece of hand luggage, but please be aware that it may be difficult to carry lots of luggage onboard during peak hours.
WiFi is free for both First Class and Standard passengers.
Folded bicycles are preferred on South Western Railway trains, but please be aware that Peak trains will be busier and will feature less space.
At Off-Peak times, non-folded bicycles are allowed on-board. Please check with South Western Railway for further restriction details.
From Monday to Friday, peak times run from 04:30 to 09:59 for any trains travelling through stations in London’s zones 1-6.
