CrossCountry trains all come with a First Class carriage and a buffet car, serving hot and cold food and drink throughout the day. If not, then a buffet cart will provide an at-seat service. Most CrossCountry trains come with a Quiet Coach, and WiFi is available for those travelling in Standard (for a small fee).
Your journey from Exeter to Glasgow by train will give you the chance to enjoy the majestic beauty of the British countryside at length. Your first major stop will be Bristol, one of the prettiest cities in the South West of England, well-known for its acres of parkland (thanks to which it earned the European Green Capital Status). You'll then pass by the Cotswolds, the famous and picturesque villages in South-central England.
After changing at Birmingham New Street, you'll continue heading north, passing through some of England's most beautiful national parks, including the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. As you continue into Scotland and travel further into the Lowlands, you finally reach Glasgow Central, a landmark in its own right.
