Travelling by train from Exeter to Glasgow, there are direct services provided by CrossCountry. However, you could change at Birmingham New Street and take an Avanti West Coast (formerly Virgin Trains) service to Glasgow from there, as it may reduce your journey time.

After changing at Birmingham New Street, you'll continue heading north, passing through some of England's most beautiful national parks, including the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. As you continue into Scotland and travel further into the Lowlands, you finally reach Glasgow Central, a landmark in its own right.
