Trenhotel is Renfe's long-distance night train service. Designed for routes between cities in Spain and Portugal, the trains have seats, compartments for two and four people and separate rooms with a toilet and shower. Renfe operates 4/5 national and 2 international routes with Talgo trains. Capable of travelling at more than 200 km/h, these night trains in Europe are designed to cover long-distance routes, so they have several classes, cabins with beds and wagon-cafeteria. 

Trenhotel Routes

There are six routes on the Trenhotel network, serving cities across the northern and central cities of Spain, before crossing into Portugal, stopping at Porto and Lisbon. 

Trenhotel Galicia

The Trenhotel Galicia Barcelona Sants - Vigo Guixar makes  stops in Campo de Tarragona, Lleida Pyrenees, Zaragoza-Delicias, Tudela de Navarra, Castejon de Ebro, Logroño, Burgos-Rosa de Lima, Palencia, Leon, Astorga, Ponferrada, O Boat Valdeorras, A Rúa-Petín, San Clodio-Quiroga, Monforte de Lemos, Orense-Empalme, Guillarrei, O Porriño, Redondela de Galicia.

The train leaves at 20:20 hours from the Barcelona Sants station and ends at 11:41 hours at the Vigo Guixar station. The duration of the trip is 15 hours and 21 minutes.

Trenhotel Rosalía de Castro

The Trenhotel Rosalía de Castro  Barcelona Sants - A Coruña San Cristovo makes stops in Campo de Tarragona, Lérida-Pirineos, Zaragoza-Delicias, Logroño, Astorga, Ponferrada, O Barco de Valdeorras, A Rúa-Petín, San Clodio-Quiroga, Monforte de Lemos, Orense-Empalme and Santiago de Compostela.

Departs from Barcelona Sants station at 20:20 and arrives at the Coruña station of San Cristovo at 11:14 am the following day. In total, the trip lasts 14 hours and 54 minutes.

Trenhotel Rías Gallegas

The Rías Gallegas Madrid Chamartín - Pontevedra train station stops in Ávila, Medina del Campo, Zamora, Puebla de Sanabria, A Gudiña, Orense-Empalme, Ribadabia, Guillarrei, O Porriño, Redondela and Vigo-Guixar.

The train departs at 22:14 hours from the Madrid Chamartín station and finishes its journey at the Pontevedra station at 09:33 the next day. The duration of the trip is 11 hours and 19 minutes.

Trenhotel Atlantic

The Trenhotel Atlántico Madrid Chamartin - Ferrol makes stops in Ávila, Medina del Campo, Valladolid-Campo Grande, Venta de Baños, Palencia, León, Veguellina, Astorga, Bembibre, Ponferrada, O Barco de Valdeorras, A Rúa-Petín, San Clodio- Quiroga, Monforte de Lemos, Sarria, Lugo, Gutiriz, Curtis, Betanzos-Infesta, A Coruña, Betanzos-Infesta, Betanzos-Cidade and Pontedeume.

The train leaves Madrid Chamartín station at 22:14 and arrives in Ferrol at 10:25 the next day. The approximate duration of the trip is 12 hours and 11 minutes.

Trenhotel Lusitania

The Trenhotel Lusitania Madrid Chamartín - Lisbon Santa Apolónia stops in Ávila, Medina del Campo, Salamanca, Ciudad Rodrigo, Fuentes de Oñoro, Villar-Formoso, Guarda, Celorico da Beira, Mangualde, Santa Comba-Dao, Coimbra, Pombal, Caxarias, Entroncamento and Lisbon-Oriente Station.

The Trenhotel Lusitania service departs from Madrid Chamartín at 9:43 pm and enters the Santa Apolónia station in Lisbon at 07:30 the next day. The duration of the trip is approximately 10 hours and 47 minutes.

Trenhotel Surexpreso

The Trenhotel Surexpreso  Irún - Lisbon Santa Apolónia makes stops in San Sebastián, Vitoria, Miranda de Ebro, Burgos-Rosa de Lima, Valladolid-Campo Grande, Medina del Campo, Salamanca, Fuente de San Esteban-Boadilla, Ciudad Rodrigo, Fuentes de Oñoro , Villar-Formoso, Guarda, Vila Franca das Naves, Celorico da Beira, Mangualde, Nelas, Santa Comba-Dao, Pampilhosa, Coimbra, Pombal, Fatima, Entroncamento and Lisbon-Oriente Station.

The Trenhotel Surexpreso leaves the Spanish city of Irún at 6:45 pm and arrives in Lisbon at Santa Apolónia at 07:30 the next day. The total duration of the trip is approximately 12 hours and 45 minutes.

Renfe offers several classes and levels of comfort on board the Trenhotel. All carriages have air conditioning and luggage space, giving you more space to relax and enjoy during your journey. 

Trenhotel tickets

Renfe offers several types of tickets for its Trenhotel services and routes. The names of these tickets, and the flexibility that they offer are similar to ones you get on any other Renfe train 

Promo 

The Renfe Promo Ticket is characterized by its rate of offers, whose dynamic price system allows you to find discounted tickets for AVE and Long Distance trains that make a national journey.

The maximum discount is 70% on the General Rate / Base and does not accept changes or cancellations. The discount applied varies depending on the type of train, the date of travel and the advance with which your purchase is made.

Promo + 

This type of ticket works with the same dynamic price system of the Promo Ticket, with the difference that the maximum discount is 65% on AVE and Long Distance trains for domestic routes without renouncing certain quality attributes.

The discount applied to the price of the General / Base Rate depends on the type of train, the date of travel and the advance with which your purchase is made. In addition, this ticket allows changes (paying 20% ​​for expenses) and cancellations (deducting 30% of the price of the ticket).

Flexible

This type of fare is valid for any type of place and class. The price of the ticket is the same as that of the General Rate / Base without discounts but allows you to enjoy some advantageous conditions with regard to changes (free within the validity period), cancellations (return of the price with a reduction of 5). % for cancellation fees) or loss of train (possibility to travel on the next train).
