From Monday to Saturday, complimentary catering is available to First Class passengers. On our morning services, you will receive a choice of hot breakfast roll with individually wrapped snacks including chocolate filled croissants, breakfast bars and biscuits. For the rest of the day, there will be a choice of a sandwich or wrap, cakes, pretzels and crisps, as well as a selection of hot drinks, waters and fresh juice. Please note that the breakfast options are only available on the following services:
First Class coaches are easy to find on EMR trains as they're normally signposted by the door. The seats are more spaced out than in Standard Class, although they follow the same arrangement on either sitting at a table of four or two seats next to each other. The extra option in First Class are single seats with their own table, perfect for solo travellers who want their own space.

Tickets for travel during Off-Peak hours (anytime outside of Monday to Friday rush hours) are normally cheaper, plus the trains are usually quieter too.
Book in advance
EMR usually release Advance tickets up to 12 weeks before the departure date, usually at their cheapest price. So, book your tickets as early as possible if you want to save a pretty penny or two.
