Trains to Pannal

Pannal train station opened in 1848 as part of the Leeds & Thirsk Railway. Today it serves the North Yorkshire villages Pannal, Spacey Houses, and Burn Bridge, and is situated on the Harrogate Line. It is an important commuter stop on weekdays for workers who travel into Leeds from the surrounding area. Trains from Pannal train station run every half an hour in each direction on weekdays and Saturdays, and there is hourly service in the evenings and on Sundays. The fastest journey time to Leeds is 26 minutes, and Harrogate is just 8 minutes away.  

The station has two platforms with sheltered waiting areas and seats for passengers. Both platforms have ramped access from the nearby Station Road and platform 2 can also be accessed from the nearby station car park. There are no ticket facilities; journeys from this station need to be paid for in advance or purchased from the conductor on the train. A Co-operative food shop sits adjacent to the station and Pannal Golf Club and its popular and challenging golf course are a short distance away.
