Trains to Lapford

A rural halt lying on the Tarka Line, Lapford Railway Station serves the village of Lapford with daily Great Western Railway trains. A small but historic single-platform station, Lapford sees four trains in each direction daily and five on Fridays. Trains from Lapford operate on request only, so passengers should make their intentions clear with hand signals to the driver. Main Line connections are available at Exeter St Davids.  

Lapford Railway Station facilities include storage for passenger cycles and a small station car park. As there are no ticketing provisions, passengers should take care to purchase tickets for travel ahead of time or on board the train from a guard. A waiting shelter with bench seating is located on the platform for passenger use. As the platform is located below road surface and access is by stairs only, passengers requiring step-free access should not attempt to travel from this station.
