Trains to Cleland

Cleland train station sits in between Edinburgh and Glasgow. Both stations are easily accessible from Cleland. The small village of Cleland in North Lancashire is just a short drive away from Motherwell. The village of Cleland sits in the centre of North Lancashire, but despite its location, it is isolated. When the station was first built, it was called 'Omoa' it was later changed to its current name. The village of Cleland is known for its coal mining history.

The station has two platforms they are accessible via a stairway footbridge. Trains run from Monday to Saturday, and they are managed by Abellio ScotRail. You can catch one train per hour to Glasgow central from Cleland this service takes just 30 minutes. Platform 2 heads direct to Edinburgh Waverley.  The station has a car park and waiting room, however, there is not a ticket machine or ticket office available.
