Trains to Amberley

Amberley train station was originally opened as part of the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. Today, it forms part of the Arun Valley line, serving the village of Amberley in West Sussex with connections to London and Bognor Regis.

The station has two platforms, connected by a footbridge. The main access, station building and toilets are on platform 2; there is also a covered waiting area on platform 1. It is staffed during opening hours.

Opposite the station entrance, a former chalk quarry now houses the Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre. Founded in 1979, the museum celebrates the industrial heritage of the South East, with preserved buildings and kilns from the Lime Works, a narrow gauge railway and displays of crafts and skills.  

Trains operated by Southern stop at Amberley train station once an hour from each direction on weekdays, with the fastest journey time of 1 hour 20 minutes to London Victoria. Trains from Amberley to Bognor Regis take 21 minutes. Sunday services are more limited.
