Arriva Train Wales connects much of Wales together on one train network, as well as running services into Birmingham New Street and Manchester Piccadilly as part of its extended services. With major stations at Cardiff Central, Swansea and Wrexham General, it provides major transport links throughout the country, and greater access for passengers from England coming in.

Peak Hours
Arriva Trains Wales peak hours are from the first service until 9.30 am and then from 4 pm until 6.30 pm.

Cardiff to Swansea
One of the busiest commuter routes for Arriva Trains Wales is the Cardiff Central to Swansea route, connecting the two biggest Welsh cities on one line. Running 4 trains an hour during peak times, passengers can move between the cities in under an hour, making it a fantastic alternative to driving. Arriva Trains Wales Routes
While Swansea to Cardiff is a major route, Arriva Trains Wales also provides services across the region, with routes also into Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street and Shrewsbury as connection stations for passengers. The Mainline routes bring these towns and cities closer together, providing commuter links between the Midlands and Wales, as well as passenger connections into Birmingham and Manchester to continue onward journeys.
Arriva Trains Wales also includes the Valley & Cardiff local line, providing rail links between the towns along the Valley coast for customers travelling into the capital city, while these trains are more infrequent they still provide great links for those living away to travel in for work or leisure.
