Trains to West Calder

West Calder Railway Station serves the West Lothian town of West Calder with regular Abellio ScotRail services on the Shotts Line between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central. Trains from West Calder run approximately every hour in each direction, serving Glasgow in the west and Edinburgh in the east. Additionally, a semi-fast service runs between the two cities via West Calder every hour. Sunday services are very limited, with one train every two hours.  

A two-platform station, West Calder lies quietly on an otherwise busy line. Station facilities provided for customer use include bicycle stands, a station car park, and self-service ticket machines from which the full range of fares may be purchased or collected. Train running information is provided via digital departure screens and announcements on the station PA system. Basic waiting shelters with seating are provided on the platforms. There is step-free access to both platforms; however, as the ramp to the eastbound platform is quite steep, passenger should not attempt to use it unaided.
