Trains to Addiewell

Nestled among villages in West Lothian lies Addiewell Railway Station. Operated by ScotRail, the station serves Addiewell's dual districts of Addiebrownhill and Loganlea with trains from Addiewell to Edinburgh Waverley via Shotts and Glasgow Central. Addiewell Station trains normally operate an hourly service, Monday through Saturday, calling at most intermediate stations. In the evenings and on Sundays, trains run every two hours in both directions. One service a day runs to and from Motherwell.

First opened by Caledonian Railway in 1882 shortly after the opening of the line itself, today the station sees thousands of passengers heading for Glasgow, Edinburgh, and a number of intermediate stops. The station is staffed and has a carpark, waiting room, and smartcard validators. The station is a short distance from Five Sisters Zoo, and local buses 801, 803, and 800 stop a short distance away. Trains to Addiewell for Edinburgh depart from an accessible platform.
