Trains to Wem

Wem Railway Station serves the town of Wem in Shropshire with regular Arriva Trains Wales services operating on the Welsh Marches Line. During the week, trains from Wem run generally two-hourly southbound to Shrewsbury and Cardiff from platform 2 and northbound to Crewe from platform 1. A select number of long-distance services call at Wem, particularly those to and from Swansea on the Heart of Wales Line. Some long-distance trains serve Manchester Piccadilly.  

Wem Station is unstaffed, and a self-service ticket machine is provided for customer use from which the full range of ticketing provisions may be obtained or collected. There are no permanent buildings remaining at Wem Railway Station, although there are waiting shelters with bench seating provided for passenger use whilst awaiting services. Train running information is provided via digital display screens, customer help points, and timetable poster boards on the platforms. There is step-free access via ramp to all parts of the station.
