Trains to Shiplake

Shiplake railway station lies in the heart of Oxfordshire along the Henley-on-Thames line. It was opened in the mid-19^th century by Great Western Railway who still manage the station and the trains that pass through today. It’s a single-platform unstaffed station with no facilities for purchasing tickets, so they must either be bought prior to travel or on board the train with the conductor. Facilities are sparse with little more a waiting shelter and some bench seating. There are up to two services a day direct to Twyford in 8 minutes where passengers can change for services into Reading and the capital and two services an hour northbound to Henley-on-Thames in 5 minutes.

When you step off in Shiplake, you’ll be just moments away from the River Thames where you can go walking along its banks or join the Henley Sailing Club to cruise along its waters.
