Trains to Shepherds Well

Shepherds Well railway station is used by the little Kent community of Shepardswell and the surrounding villages ten miles or so north west of Dover and the coast. It was opened in the mid-19^th century by the London, Chatham and Dover Railway and has long been a popular commuter stop along the Chatham Main Line. Today, the station and the trains that pass through are managed by Southeastern. There is a ticket office in the original station building open for limited hours on weekdays. Outside these times, passengers can purchase their tickets from the self-service machines. There are two platforms connected by a footbridge and facilities including a waiting shelter, digital passenger information displays and bench seating. There is a train every hour direct to Dover Priory in 10 minutes and reaching the capital is a breeze on the hourly direct service to London Victoria in 1 hour 57 minutes.
