Built in 1852, Grantham station lies to the west of this market town in the south-west of Lincolnshire. Situated on the East Coast Main Line, it connects passengers direct to London Kings Cross in just over an hour and Newcastle in two hours. It's also a hub for direct services to Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester, Hull and Norwich.

Grantham's town centre is around a ten-minute walk from the station, where you'll find a wide range of high-street and independent shops, bars and restaurants, riverside walks and parks, and the impressive Victorian Gothic Guildhall Arts Centre on St Peter's Hill, with a statue of the area's most famous son outside - Sir Isaac Newton. Nearby attractions include the romantic 19th-century Belvoir Castle (7 miles), the Restoration country residence Belton House set in a landscaped park and formal gardens (5 miles) and Newton's 17th-century family home, Woolsthorpe Manor.
