Trains to Doleham

A single platform halt in the countryside, Doleham Railway Station lies quietly in the hamlet of Doleham, East Sussex, along with the Marshlink Line. The station is named for nearby Doleham Farm, and (along with all services calling there) is under management by Southern. Trains from Doleham run scarcely but regularly, with three trains per day running north towards Ashford International and four trains southbound towards Hastings (two of which extend to Brighton). Despite the limited service at the station, Doleham remains popular with walkers due to its proximity to the countryside.  

Originally a two-platform station, Doleham’s down platform was abandoned following the line’s singling in 1979. Today station facilities are very minimal, and passengers wishing to travel on Southern trains from Doleham should purchase their tickets in advance as penalty fares apply. A basic shelter is present on the platform, and a payphone is available by the roadside. Access to the platform is via a long ramp and footpath, making it step-free.
