Trains to Delamere

Delamere railway station sits about half way between Northwich and Chester along the Mid-Cheshire Line. It has served the little community of Delamere and the surrounding villages since the late-19^th century. Unlike many British stations, the original stone buildings still exist next to the platform, though they are privately owned, making it one of the prettiest along the line. It’s an unstaffed station with no facilities for purchasing tickets, so they must either be bought online in advance or on board the train with the conductor during the journey. Facilities include shelters on both platforms, electronic displays, and timetable posters. Today, the station and the trains that pass through are operated by Northern. During peak times, there is an hourly direct service to Chester in 16 minutes and Northwich in 14 minutes.
