Trains to Colwall

Colwall railway station lies along the Cotswold Line in the tiny village of Colwall in Herefordshire. The station opened in the mid-19th century when the Hereford and Worcester Railway Line was inaugurated. Unfortunately, the old station buildings were demolished some years ago and it became unstaffed. Along the single platform, there is a ticket machine accepting credit and debit cards, bench seating and a footbridge which links a pathway on the other side of the tracks. It might be small, but it has some great connections with several direct services to London Paddington in 2 hours 48 minutes, hourly direct trains to Birmingham New Street in 1 hour 4 minutes and Hereford in 29 minutes.  

Colwall is a quint village with a cosy pub and a smattering of cafes. It’s also used as the jump off point for hikes in the extraordinarily beautiful Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a land of rolling hills and woodland.
