Collingham Railway Station serves the little community of Collingham in Nottinghamshire. Its passing tracks that stop at the station’s two platforms are part of the Nottingham to Lincoln Line. Both the station and the trains that pass through are managed by East Midlands Trains. Like the village surrounding it, it’s small with few facilities bar a couple of shelters, bicycle storage and some help points, put that hasn’t stopped it becoming the second most used station along the Nottingham-Lincoln line. You’ll also find a relatively new 58-space car park available next to the station. Tickets cannot be purchased at the station, so should either be bought online in advance or with the train conductor on board. There are regular direct services every hour to Nottingham in 38 minutes and Lincoln Central in just 19 minutes.
When you disembark in Collingham, there’s plenty of sporting activities nearby. You could practise your serve at the Collingham Tennis Club, catch one of the local games at the district Cricket Club or head down to the River Trent for a spot of fishing.
