Bicester Village train station is one of two stations in the town of Bicester and is very popular with shoppers due to its location next to "Bicester Village" a luxurious hub of designer outlets with hundreds of designers including Mulberry, Alexander McQueen and Yves Saint Laurent. There's the added extra of shopping at the worlds only outlet stores for Vivienne Westwood, Smythson and Temperley London. Bicester Village also has multilingual hosts on hand to help with any questions, a children's play area to keep your little one entertained and lots of choices if you want something to eat.

Originally, Bicester Village station opened in 1850 as "Bicester" and has gone through several periods of closure and refurbishments. The current station was reopened in 2015 after the line was upgraded. During the closure, a ticket machine was installed at the station allowing passengers to collect tickets on the day. Previously passengers had to board a train first and then buy a ticket.

Bicester Village station is also the only station in the UK to have ever changed its name from a "town" to a "village". During the refurbishment, Chiltern Railways renamed the station to help visitors distinguish between the towns two stations. The aim here to reduce congestion at the other station for people looking to shop at the very popular designer shopping outlet.

Also within walking distance of Bicester Village station is Garth Park, a cinema, library leisure facilities. The other mainline station serving Bicester, Bicester North is approximately a mile away, taking around 20 minutes to walk. Alternatively, a shuttle service does operate between the two locations.

Taking an average of 48 minutes from London Marylebone station or just 15 minutes from Oxford with Chiltern Railways, Bicester Village is great for shopping or a bite to eat.
