The nearest station to the Severn Valley Railway is Kidderminster - it's just next door to the heritage railway! Kidderminster station is served by regular West Midlands Railway services from Leamington Spa, Stratford-Upon-Avon and Birmingham Moor Street and Snow Hill stations. If you're travelling from London, Chiltern Railways can take you from London Marylebone to Birmingham, where you can change to a West Midlands Railway service to Kidderminster.

Whether you're heading to the Severn Valley Railway for a ride on a steam train, to learn more about heritage railways or a spot of afternoon tea as you whizz through the countryside, there's something that all ages will enjoy here.

There are six charming stations to visit along the Severn Valley Railway, including Kidderminster, Bewdley, Arley, Highley, Hampton Loade and Bridgnorth. Hop off at Highley to visit The Engine Room exhibition, Hampton Loade for a picnic or Arley for a wander around the peaceful village of the same name.

It takes around 1 hour 15 minutes to go from one end of the line to the other, so if you're planning a trip there and back with stop offs along the way, we'd recommend allowing at least half a day to take in everything the Severn Valley Railway has to offer.
