It's easy to reach Ludlow Castle by rail. Hop on a train to Ludlow, which is served by Transport for Wales services from Manchester and Cardiff. From Ludlow, it's just a 12-minute walk to Ludlow Castle. Simply exit the station, on to Station Drive and turn left on to Upper Galdeford. Follow the road left on to Tower Street, which becomes King Street. Follow this road until you can see the castle's walls jutting out in the distance.

A visit to Ludlow Castle will transport you back in time - it's a great way to spend a day with the family. Wander into the grounds or simply admire the imposing walls from afar.

Platform 2 (for services to Abergavenny, Newport and Cardiff) is accessed using the station stepped footbridge. There is also a long steep path which is accessed from Grave Hill, however using this route is likely to add up to 15 minutes to the time required to access the platform.

Customers requiring step free access to and from the platform serving Avergavenny, Newport and Cardiff are recommended to use the nearest step free station.

The nearest station with step-free access is Craven Arms.

If you require step-free access, please arrive on the right side of the station for travelling - there is no step-free access between the two platforms.
