The world-famous Henley Royal Regatta is undoubtedly the best-known event of its kind in the world and is the highlight of the boat racing calendar and the social season.
With over 300 races of an international standard, which often includes Olympic rowers, why not also soak up the ambiance of the enclosures, enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants, grab a drink in a nearby bar, and bag a memento of your day out in one of the shops.
And if you need convincing Henley-on-Thames is a great place to visit and enjoy sweeping views of the River Thames as it winds its way down into London.
Catching a train to the regatta is easy with frequent services stopping at Henley-on-Thames from Paddington (London) and during the Henley Royal Regatta additional trains call at the station to make getting there even easier. With the river, just a few minutes walk from the railway station as well you'll soon arrive in time for the races.
This year, Henley Royal Regatta takes place from Tuesday 20th June until Sunday 5th July 2026.
You can also take the Elizabeth line from London to Twyford and change there for the dedicated train to Henley.
