White Hart Lane station in Tottenham, London opened in 1872 and is currently operated by London Overground. The station is in Travelcard Zone 3 and is widely known as the home of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club - the stadium is just over three minutes' walk away. On match days, a special timetable is in operation with trains arriving and departing to and from Liverpool Street, Cheshunt and Enfield Town every two to three minutes.
The Tottenham area itself is undergoing huge changes, with Haringey Council pledging to create more than 5,000 jobs and 10,000 new homes by the year 2025. There are also discussions to bring Crossrail 2 here. In the interim, the area is becoming a popular place to live for young creatives moving to London on a budget. Bruce Castle Park is also nearby and hosts the annual Tottenham Carnival every June.
