Waltham Cross is a busy commuter and visitor station with typical journey times to London of 20 to 30 minutes. Set on the West Anglia Main Line connecting passengers with Liverpool Street and Stratford in central London and Hertford East and Bishops Stortford outside of London, Waltham Cross also has easy connections to Stansted Airport and Cambridge. Waltham Cross sits at the southern end of the huge Lee Valley Park, the largest park in Greater London, creating a green lung for London, Essex and Hertfordshire. Over more than 10,000 acres, there's a wide variety of spaces to enjoy, including lakes, rivers, nature reserves, open parkland, formal gardens and sports centres. Half a mile from the station is the Lee Valley White Water Centre, where you can follow in the paddle strokes of Olympic champions, and just a little further on is the historic Waltham Abbey and Gardens.
