Trains to Upholland

Upholland Railway Station serves the small town of Upholland with regular Northern trains operating on the Kirkby Branch Line. Trains from Upholland run on a basic hourly frequency in each direction, serving Manchester Victoria, Blackburn, and Kirkby. Select trains originate or terminate at Wigan Wallgate. Trains on this route terminate in the early evenings, and do not run on Sundays.  

Upholland Railway Station is unstaffed, and there are no permanent station buildings remaining aside from basic waiting shelters with seating installed on each platform. Facilities are quite limited, and there are no ticketing provisions of any kind available at the station. Train running information is available via timetable poster boards and payphone (on platform 1 only). There is step-free access via ramp to the eastbound platform 2 only; the westbound platform 1 is accessed only via stairs. As the ramp on platform 2 is somewhat steep, passengers requiring step-free access may wish to travel from another station.
