Trains to Umberleigh

Umberleigh Railway Station serves the Devon village of Umberleigh with regular Great Western Railway services on the Tarka Line. Trains to Umberleigh call once an hour in each direction, as all services between Barnstaple and Exmouth stop at the station. On Sundays, these trains operate at a two-hourly frequency. Connections to main line services are available at Exeter St Davids.  

While Umberleigh’s station building still stands, it is currently in private use and there is no staffing available at the station. Facilities at Umberleigh Station include a small station car park with accessible spaces. There are no ticketing provisions of any sort, so passengers should take care to purchase tickets ahead of time or on the train. Assistance is available from the customer help points installed on the platform. A basic waiting shelter with seating, both covered and open air, is installed on the platform; there is ramped access to the station from the car park.
