One of two stations serving the village of Tyndrum, Tyndrum Lower Railway Station sees regular Abellio ScotRail trains operating on the Oban branch of the West Highland Line. Roughly six trains from Tyndrum Lower run each direction during the week, with service halving for three trains each way on Sundays. Outbound trains run to Oban, while inbound trains continue to Glasgow Queen Street via Helensburgh Central, Dumbarton Central, and Dalmuir. In summer, an additional train runs on Sundays; this service terminates at Edinburgh Waverley instead of Glasgow Queen Street. Trains on the Fort William branch of the West Highland Line call at Upper Tyndrum at roughly the same time as Oban-branch trains do at Tyndrum Lower.
