Trains to Tottenham Hale
Tottenham Hale station in Haringey, north London sits on the West Anglian main line with trains serving London Liverpool Street, Stansted Airport, Hertford East, Cambridge, Ely and King's Lynn. It also serves as a station on the London Underground Victoria line and is the second-to-last stop before Black Horse Road and Walthamstow Central. The usual journey time via national rail to Liverpool Street is around 15 minutes. Trains first came to Tottenham Hale in 1840. Then the station was just called Tottenham, and it has changed its name several times over the years, along with various extensions, revamps and service changes. Now it is an extremely busy station, especially for commuters, seeing over 16 million passenger journeys each year if you take both national rail and underground travel into account. The station is currently undergoing a large upgrade and redevelopment project expected to be completed in 2017.

There are currently two platforms at Tottenham Hale station. Platform 1 is for trains south to Stratford and London Liverpool Street, and platform 2 is for northbound services to destinations, including Stansted Airport and Cambridge. While the redevelopment work is underway, there is only step-free access to platform 2. Toilets and a cafe are on platform 2. Outside the entrance are a car park, taxi rank and Transport for London bus station.
