Trains to Sunnymeads

Located on a line connecting London with Windsor and Eton Riverside, Sunnymeads train station offers its passengers destination choices which include the endless attractions of a capital city or a royal castle. South Western Railway trains run every 30 minutes in both directions with a journey time to London Waterloo of 50 minutes. Richly historical Windsor is even closer - just 7 minutes by train from Sunnymeads station. A royal family residence, 11th century Windsor Castle – just 200 metres from the train station – is of course the town's brightest jewel and its changing of the guard ceremony a highlight but there is a great more to see and do here. Explore the Windsor and Royal Borough Museum located in the guildhall where both Prince Charles and Elton John were married, hop on-board an open-top bus for a grand tour or take a stylish horse–and–carriage ride. Outdoor lovers can enjoy the River Thames with a relaxing boat ride, a rental kayak or even an amphibious duck. For those who prefer to explore on foot the River Thames Path and the open countryside of Windsor Great Park make for picturesque strolls. Thrill seekers can get their fill at Legoland Windsor Resort which features a multitude of rides and attractions.

Sunnymeads train station also offers easy access to some significant wildlife areas. Located just 3 minutes away by train is Wraysbury whose network of lakes, reservoirs and rivers is home to various nature reserves. One of the water-filled quarries here was once used as a filming location for the James Bond 'A View to a Kill' movie. Also while in the vicinity be sure to visit the riverside site of Runnymede where the Magna Carter was signed in 1215.
