Trains to St Denys

St Denys railway station lies in the northern neighbourhood of Southampton. It was built in the mid-19th century by the then London and South Western Railway and is still managed, along with the trains that pass through, by South Western Railway today. The old red-brick stationmaster’s building with an overhanging roof is still used as a ticket office today. Outside of the opening hours, there’s a self-service ticket machine. Other facilities at the four-station platform include the original footbridge, digital passenger information displays, bench seating and waiting shelters. There are two trains an hour direct to Southampton Central in 7 minutes and Fareham in 28 minutes.

When you disembark at St Denys, you’ll be just a stone’s throw from the River Itchen. There’s no better way to immerse yourself in the culture that one of the local pubs, and just a short walk from the station you’ll find several including The South Western Arms and the Junction Inn.
