Shoreditch High Street station serves the uber-trendy suburb of Shoreditch in the East End of London, within London Travelcard 1. The station is one of the newest on the extended East London Line, having officially opened to the public in 2010.
The modern station runs regular passenger services to Dalston and Highbury & Islington from platform 1, and New Cross, Clapham Junction, West Croydon and Crystal Palace from platform 2. The station is also on several busy bus and night-bus routes.
Shoreditch High Street station is a few minutes' south of one of London's most vibrant cultural and commercial districts. The winding streets to the east of the station are home to an array of independent boutiques and eateries, including the renowned Cereal Killer Cafe. The area directly north of the station is packed with yet more shops, bars and restaurants and offers one of the most eclectic high streets in all of London.
