Trains to Shipton

Shipton railway station is used by the little community of Shipton-under-Wychwood and the surrounding Oxfordshire villages. It was opened in the mid-19^th century by the then Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway, but was later absorbed into Great Western Railway who still manage it along with the trains that pass through today. It’s a simple, unstaffed station with little more than old waiting shelters, bench seating and timetable posters on both its platforms. It’s a relatively quiet station with around 6,000 passengers using it annually. There are two trains a day direct to London Paddington in 1 hour 34 minutes, one in the morning and one in the evening.
