Trains to Shadwell

Shadwell is a station along the London Overground in East London between Whitechapel and Wapping and is managed by Arriva Rail London. It was opened in the late-19th century by the then East London Railway and, for a time, was renamed as Shadwell & St. George-in-the-East but was reverted some two decades later. In the mid-‘90s, the platforms were decorated by celebrated illustrator, Sarah McMenemy. There's a ticket office open from Monday to Friday and the station also features self-service machines, with most passengers using their Oyster cards. It’s small with just two platforms, but it serves more than 5 million passengers annually. There are up to 9 trains an hour to Whitechapel, with the journey taking just a couple of minutes. Meanwhile, there are 4 direct trains to Peckham Rye every hour, with a journey time of approximately 16 minutes.
