Rowley Regis train station lies roughly halfway between Dudley and Birmingham and serves the small town of Blackheath. It was opened in the mid-19th-century as Rowley Regis & Blackheath on the Birmingham to Stourbridge Junction line by what was then Great Western Railway, through the name was shortened to simply Rowley Regis in the late ‘60s. The station and the trains that pass through are managed and operated by West Midlands Trains, though there are several departures from Chiltern Railways. There are two platforms linked by a footbridge and there are facilities including waiting shelters, digital displays and a ticket office open every day. There are up to six trains an hour direct to Stourbridge Junction, as well as six trains an hour to Birmingham Snow Hill.
It might be small, but there’s plenty of places to see near Rowley Regis train station, like the Hurst Green Park. Alternatively, if you’ve brought your clubs, you can practise your swing at the Brandhall Golf Club.
