Trains to Rock Ferry

Rock Ferry railway station sits near the banks of the River Mersey in the southern Rock Ferry neighbourhood of Birkenhead just a few miles from Liverpool Lime Street station. It was opened in the mid-19^th century replacing a nearby station and later became an interchange stop on the Mersey Railway Line. Today, there are a total of four platforms, two are used for passengers, the others are for train stabling. The station has a ticket office which is opened through the week. Other facilities include a footbridge linking the platforms together, waiting shelters and digital passenger displays. There are up to six services an hour direct to Liverpool Lime Street in just 6 minutes.

When you disembark at the station, you’ll be in the heart of the neighbourhood where you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants and nightlife. Try the Rock Station, a community pub serving up craft beer and classic British dishes or the nearby Refreshment Rooms for a cocktail or two.
