Situated on Park End Street, Oxford Station is approximately half a mile west of the city centre. Due to rapid growth in passenger numbers, improvements were needed and a plan was agreed to improve the service between Oxford and London, resulting in more trains to Oxford, and an upgrade to the station building.
Oxford train times are flexible enough to allow visitors to enjoy a full day out exploring the city. Just wandering around the beautiful colleges, with their gardens, halls and chapels is a treat and there are plenty of museums and historic properties to enjoy. Punting on the River Cherwell is popular and the Botanic Garden is located on the riverbank, just one mile from Oxford Station.
