A modern station just opened in 2015; Oxford Parkway Railway Station serves the village of Kidlington and the city of Oxford with regular Chiltern Railways trains on the Oxford to Bicester portion of the London Marylebone-Oxford route. Trains from Oxford Parkway run every half-hour, southeast-bound to London Marylebone via Bicester Village and southwest-bound to Oxford. PlusBus ticketing for direct connections to the surrounding villages is available from Oxford Parkway.
Originally known as Water Eaton Parkway due to its proximity to the existing Water Eaton Park-and-Ride, Oxford Parkway Station saw its first full services in October 2015 with trains to London; a year later, trains began running the full length of the service from Oxford Station to Marylebone. The station has full amenities, including cycle storage facilities and Park and Ride spaces for over 800 vehicles. Tickets may be purchased from the self-service ticket machines installed at the station. Train running information is provided via departure screens and automated announcements. Cashpoints, refreshments at a coffee shop, toilets, and heated waiting rooms with seating are provided for passenger comfort. There is step-free access throughout Oxford Parkway.
