Trains to Overpool

Overpool Railway Station serves the centre of Ellesmere Port in Cheshire with regular Merseyrail services on the Wirral Line. Trains from Overpool operate every half-hour throughout the week, including Sundays; these trains run between Ellesmere Port (from platform 1) and Liverpool Central (from platform 2), serving all intermediate stops.  

One of only four stations in the Merseyrail network without full-time staffing, Overpool Station nonetheless has good facilities for customer use. Tickets for travel on the Merseyrail trains may be purchased from the self-service ticket machine installed on the platform; as Merseyrail uses penalty fares, passengers should take care to purchase their tickets before boarding. Both platforms have sheltered waiting areas with seating, and train running information is provided via digital departure and arrival screens as well as automated announcements. A payphone is provided for customer use, and there is a post office nearby. There is ramped access to both platforms.
