Located in the Borough of Richmond upon Thames in South London, North Sheen Railway Station serves the east of Richmond and surrounding communities with regular South Western Railway trains operating on the Waterloo to Reading Line. In typical off-peak hours, trains run roughly every seven minutes (eight times an hour) to London Waterloo, with four running direct via Clapham Junction, two running via Richmond, Kingston, and Wimbledon, and two via Richmond and Hounslow. The station is located in London Travelcard Zone 3.
North Sheen Railway Station has a staffed ticket office from which tickets may be purchased during opening hours. Outside of these times, passengers should instead use the self-service ticketing machine or travel by smartcard or Oyster. Help points are installed on all platforms, and there's a waiting space with seating available at the centre of the island platform. Due to the station’s unusual bridge access, North Sheen is not suitable for wheelchair users or any other customer requiring step-free access.
