Trains to Newton (Lanark)

Newton Railway Station serves the neighbourhoods of Drumsagard, Halfway, Newton, and Westburn in the town of Cambuslang with regular Abellio ScotRail services operating on the Argyle Line and Cathcart Circle Line. Trains from Newton run half-hourly to and from Larkhall and Milngavie, Motherwell via Hamilton, and other stations. Cathcart Circle Line trains originate and terminate at Newton on a half-hourly basis to Glasgow Central High Level.

A major junction between the Argyle Line, Cathcart Circle Line, and West Coast Main Line, Newton Station sees heavy passenger travel and has a large car park with room for 250 vehicles.
