Trains to Newstead

Newstead Railway Station serves the village of Newstead in Nottingham with regular East Midlands Trains services operating on the Robin Hood Line between Nottingham and Worksop. Trains from Newstead run on an hourly basis in each direction, with extra services to both Worksop and Nottingham at peak times. On Sundays, these services operate two-hourly with northbound trains terminating at Mansfield Woodhouse instead. One daily service during the week extends from Mansfield Woodhouse to Peterborough and Norwich.  

Once the terminus of the Robin Hood Line, today Newstead Station still sees a steady influx of passenger travel, both for further destinations in Nottingham and beyond as well as for local areas of interest, such as Lord Byron’s ancestral home at Newstead Abbey only two miles away. Those travelling from Newstead may use the station car park and should purchase tickets in advance from the self-service ticket machines.
