Trains to New Mills Newtown

One of two stations serving the town of New Mills, New Mills Newtown Railway Station sees regular Northern trains operating on the Buxton Line between Manchester and Buxton. Trains from New Mills Newton generally run every hour northbound to Manchester Piccadilly and southbound to Buxton, with additional services operating at peak times. Every weekday, one train continues to and from either Blackpool North, Clitheroe, Bolton, Wigan North Western, Kirkby, or Barrow-in-Furness. Interchange with New Mills Central Station, fifteen minutes’ walk away, is possible. 

The booking office at New Mills Newton Station is staffed throughout the week, Monday to Saturday, from start of service until early afternoon; at all other times, passengers wishing to travel from the station should purchase tickets on the train or in advance. Train running information is provided on digital display screens, timetable poster boards, and automated announcements. Stone waiting shelters are present on both platforms.  There is step-free access at this station.
