Trains to Nethertown

A remote seaside halt tucked between the coast on one side and the Irish sea on the other, Nethertown Railway Station serves the village of Nethertown with regular Northern trains operating on the Cumbrian Coast Line. During the week, five trains from Nethertown operate in each direction, for sparse but regular service. On Sundays, a limited service operates from the station. Trains to Nethertown call on a request only, so passengers should take care to clearly signal to the train driver when embarking from the station. 

A single-platform station known for its scenic overlook across the sea, Nethertown Station has basic facilities. A station car park is provided for customer use, but as there are no ticketing provisions present at the station, passengers should purchase tickets in advance or on board from the train guard. A basic waiting shelter with seating and a payphone is provided for customer use on the platform. Nethertown Station is not suitable for passengers requiring step-free access, as the road is steep and unmade.
